VA Consultants is working in close partnership with an online service acting as a web-based intermediary between independent takeaway food outlets and customers.  It is headquartered in the UK and operates in 13 countries.

Founded in 2001 the organisation has over 29,000 participating restaurants.  it was ranked number 31 in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 and won the Best Brand Award.  £96.8 million in revenue in 2013 and it is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.

We have designed and currently two levels of leadership programme, which are aligned to the business strategy and the people strategy. 

Senior Leadership Programme

Due to the rapid growth of the organisation, the business has a need to increase its board members to meet the business strategy and demand for great leadership at the top.  The SLP has been designed for directors and managing directors of functions within the organisation for their development to be highly effective at board level. It is required that they engage in a process that drives new culture, new leadership and new ways of thinking.  This culture must be driven from the top down to establish the right culture, business innovation with the agility to constantly adapt to ever changing markets, much through ambiguity, and meet the leadership expectations throughout the organisation.  The SLP is a multi-modular approach covering topics such as Leadership Agility, People Agility, Business Agility and Cultural Agility.

Advance Leadership Programme

The organisation has recognised the importance of talent development and in high potentials at a senior management level to maintain the need, drive and desire to create a culture of great leadership, high performance and embracing culture change.  The ALP has been designed as a multi modular programme that runs over 10 months.  The programme starts with a development centre, which helps to identify individuals’ strengths and development needs in order to be much more self-aware, have better awareness of others and how to can develop best and make the most of the ALP.   The subsequent modules cover topics such as Leading Self & Others, Leadership Dialogue, and Leading Change.

Both the SLP and ALP have coaching sessions throughout the duration for all participants.  The benefit for the participants is that the coaching threads each module together, to have one to one conversations about content of learning and application and allowing discussions in confidence, which are non-judgmental.

Both were designed to complement each other and drive the same messages and expectations to the participants and to deliver the business strategy through its people.  We have introduced leading concepts of learning in to both programmes, which are having amazing results and desire for further development back in the organisation.
