VA Consultants have been working with Bauder, a leading international manufacturer of building construction materials in the flat and green-roof sector, since March 2016, building on a pre-existing 10-year relationship during which the business ‘s turnover grew 7-fold. An ongoing suite of organisational, team and individual development initiatives have been implemented over this period including:

VA have been working on the following holistic development approaches which are key components of the strategy:
Senior Management Team Development: Consolidating the existing effective relationships and leadership practice at senior management team level. Supporting the leadership team as they shape the business for future success. Developing a common language and approach around leadership throughout the entire organisation.
The development process with the Senior Management Team has included Organisation Analysis using 1:1 interviews and survey tools, team effectiveness workshops, a review of the team working methods, consulting sessions with the MD and HRD, 1:1 coaching and facilitation at team meetings.
Leadership Development: This initiatives has been used to establish and sustain Bauder’s distinctive leadership culture by investing in managers at all levels of the organisation. This approach has created a clear management team identity fostering excellent co-operation across functional and role boundaries and giving individuals confidence to provide a wider leadership contribution, acting with greater empowerment and autonomy.
The development process with the management populations has included leadership development workshops, a review of working methods, consulting sessions with key stakeholders and 1:1 coaching.
