Chris Mitchell

Chris has over 12 years’ experience as a consultant, coach and business strategist. He has worked within the largest global blue-chip organisations as well as alongside SMEs to help them to develop their skill and grow their businesses. People who have worked with him would say that he has a knack for asking the right question, a genuine curiosity to listen and a refreshingly direct straight-talking Yorkshire style. He excels at seeing the big picture to help others to build clarity, create a plan and take action to make it happen!

Through his career, he has worked across a wide range of company size (global multinationals to soloprenuers); industry sectors (logistics, financial services, manufacturing, retail, food services) and specialisms (strategy, marketing, HR, financial planning, procurement, project management). Notably, Chris was the Strategy Manager at ASDA helping guide the senior leadership team during the separation from Walmart and then subsequent purchase by new owners. Most recently, he has supported over 50 SMEs in West Yorkshire to navigate current economic challenges and grow their businesses.

His specialism is within strategic thinking, drawing on his real-world industry know how to develop ideas, challenge thinking and unlock create new ways for businesses to compete and outthink competition. He uses interactive, visual tools and templates that work in the real world, partnering via a mix of coaching or mentoring, with owners, leaders and their teams to guide them through the process of building clear plans, setting realistic goals with actions that help them to stay accountable and make it happen.

His passion is with working with young people, helping millennials and Gen Z’s to power up their professional potential in areas like team management or find meaning in their careers. He has mentored at Leeds University Business School for 9 years guiding students on their next steps after education.

His certificate in Coaching is triple accredited through Henley Business School, he is an accredited Project Manager through the Association for Project Management and as an International Management degree from the University of Leeds.
