Rachel Woodward
Rachel is a business coach and work place mediator whose passion is to understand individual motivations and improve business performance through honing leadership skills, addressing conflicts through dispute resolution and strengthening communication skills. Her specialism is family owned businesses, when the dynamics of the family have a critical impact on decisions made in the business.
Rachel places a strong emphasis on her own professional development. Following an early career as a teacher and management trainer she was awarded an Executive Coaching Certificate from Ashridge Business School. This was followed by qualifying as a Mediator as well as obtaining an MSc in Mediation and Conflict Resolution. Rachel now lectures in Family Business Dynamics and Leadership at two UK Universities.
But don’t get the impression that Rachel is an academic. Her professional qualifications are teamed with over two decades of practical experience working with managers in manufacturing, hotel and leisure, retail, pharmaceutical and the nuclear industries.
Rachel’s love of the outdoors means she can often be found leading her two children on exciting adventures over the beautiful fells and through the deep, dark tarns which surround her Lakeland home. They all love to end the day with a wild swim followed by hot chocolate.
